Overall, Balter Beerworks is very accessible. The parking lot is clearly marked with a large sign that says Balter Beerworks. The parking lot is super simple to enter from the road and has a very clear entrance. There are two accessible parking spots adequately marked, directly in front of the entrance. One of the accessible spots is for a van and the other is a normal accessible spot. There is a medium size parking lot right in front of the building that is completely flat and then extra parking up on the top of the hill where you can enter off of vine avenue. The parking lot is very well lit and visible. The entrance was accessible with no ramps or steps. The door does not have an automatic opener but the host stood at the door and opened it for every guest who came through. The host stand was at a normal eye level that would accommodate a guest in a wheelchair perfectly. The entrance has plenty of room for a power chair to enter through it. There is plenty of room on the front patio and inside for a wheelchair to roll through without any issues. There are no booths and all tables which can easily fit a wheelchair comfortably underneath. The only seating that would not accommodate a wheelchair would be the bench tables that are in the center but there is only two of those. The floors are smooth hard surfaces that would be easy for a wheelchair to glide over. The restrooms are clearly marked as accessible but there is not a family restroom. The restroom does have an accessible stall that is large enough for a wheelchair to comfortable glide in. The sink has plenty of room for a wheelchair to glide under comfortably. When we discussed our project with staff they were kind and extremely helpful. In summary, Balter Beerworks is an accessible eatery that I would recommend to anyone who visits Knoxville.
